STORY
Gavin Wilson is on a mission to provide equitable, impactful solutions to both the climate and health crises by promoting plant-based living and urban agriculture.
Gavin's life changed when he became a 330 Ambassador for the LeBron James Family Foundation in high school. Through mentoring students, inspiring academic growth, and fostering a supportive environment, he worked at the center of impactful engagement in his local community. This experience then led him to intern with Share Our Strength during undergrad, where he worked in fundraising for the No Kid Hungry campaign. These experiences showed him firsthand how powerful caring for our communities is and the vital role that food plays in ensuring everyone flourishes.
Years later, his awareness of climate change came from transitioning to a vegan diet, sparking a deep commitment to sustainability and leading him to immerse himself in the subject by participating in the Climatebase Fellowship, Esri Academy, and Footprints Camp.
Gavin is now pursuing a Master of Science in Sustainable Food Systems at Arizona State University to gain the education and experience to bring his mission to life.
